Because of the insightfulness shown in the article Neutralizing Christianity by Tamara Hartzell. (*) I strongly recommend you take the time to read the introduction to her article (click here to read) before reading this article about each person  as picture below.

Her article lays a foundation for what we are seeing from the ministries of the following men and others who have followed their path of behavior, who in the estimation of this website owner has done more to lead the evangelical church down the road of Biblical compromise and degeneracy which is sweeping the church in a world wide tsunami of apostasy.

The effects of the activity of the following are obvious, (1) they are diminishing the authority of God’s word by their activities, thus neutralizing Christianity. (2) building bridges for evil (wolves / tares) to enter the sheep fold. (3) Deepen the divide and enabling spiritual sedation among the body of Christ through their apostate teachings, practices and associations. (4) spawning a new generation of tares through their following.

The Silence of The Shepherds

There is a strange thing happening within Christendom. An 'ever increasing' number of so called theological conservative, orthodox teachers, apologists, organizations and even local pastors have become eerily silent when anti-biblical statements, non Biblical teachings, unbiblical associations and practices are carried out by iconic ministers. This silence is acting as a catalyst in neutralizing Biblical truth. The messenger is demonized that tries to sound the alarm. Those who refuse to acknowledge what is occurring have become so numb to the point that even hard evidence no longer moves them to action. I have been an eye witness to this behavior on several occasions and the trend appears to be growing. It should be disconcerting and alarming that more and more pastors and teachers who actually teach a biblically sound message will at the same time pretend not to hear no evil, see no evil nor speak no evil concerning the anti-biblical teachings and practices by those such as Billy Graham, Rick Warren, Bill Hybels, etc..

Don Koeing makes the following discerning statement in his article The Seeker Friendly Purpose Driven Church Growth Movement

"One of the biggest dangers in this purpose driven church growth movement. Putting Christian theology in the hands of a few gurus can be dangerous. If their theology is wrong, thousands of churches and millions of Christians will have bought into bad theology. With the smaller traditional Evangelical Protestant churches, you may have had some bad teachers but any error did not reach tens of millions of people. If these gurus are wrong, they can incorporate apostasy into the Evangelical church on a scale never seen before. There are some indications that this is already taking place. Their influence is so powerful that their books have now basically taken over the shelves of Christian bookstores and they now seriously influence the theology and the educational techniques of major evangelical denominations."

Phil Johnson a lay pastor at Grace Community Church, Sun Valley, CA. makes an astute observation in the article The Neo-Liberal Stealth Offensive

The gospel's most dangerous earthly adversaries are not raving atheists who stand outside the door shouting threats and insults. They are church leaders who cultivate a gentle, friendly, pious demeanor but hack away at the foundations of faith under the guise of keeping in step with a changing world.

This is more than quilt by association it is now quilt by participation. Some have form organic relationships either by ecumenical endeavors; incorporate their teachings and practices, etc., into the programs of the local church.

For some reason there are also those within conservative Christianity who refuse or have a fear in discussing the problem these men and women present to the church, even though they are aware of the problems. Yet the Bible commands us to have nothing to do with the deeds of darkness but rather exposed them.(Eph 5:11-15).

Keep in mind because of the iconic status and influence of these men very few churches will go unaffected. Some have formed varies levels of partnership with these men by selling and teaching from their books and other material, attend their seminars to gain so called wisdom to bring back and incorporate within their home churches and partner with them on religious endeavors.

After investigating this for well over 4 years I'm convinced from a spiritual perspective this is a tactic of Satan in his rebellion against God. The fallen angels are using these men and women to neutralize the truth of God (Bible).

Why are there churches who's pastors claim to stand for Biblical truth silent and even on occasion speak well of these iconic leaders who have compromise the word of God ? Why is it so difficult for us as Christians to say what God has said about what they are doing? What or who is at work in promoting this cancerous behavior that is bringing confusion, division among the people of God and the rejection of the authority of God's word. One point of re-emphasis, these folk are from the professing church (Acts 20:29-31).

The effect of those who perpetrate, or do nothing is becoming painfully obvious, (1) It is diminishing the authority of God’s word. (2) It has and is building bridges for evil (wolves / tares) to enter the sheep fold. (4) The rebellion of these individuals has deepened the divide among the body of Christ.

It is unfortunately the church has built up icons in her midst both of individuals and institutions. It’s taboo to mention what they are doing or have done, even when they continually make unbiblical statements, have unbiblical relationships with individuals or institutions (i.e. those who deny the deity and work of Christ, form ecumenical relationships with the world’s religions around shared goals and common purposes and perform unbiblical practices such as contemplative spirituality, adoption of the worlds wisdom to grow the church, etc.). These individuals hide behind so called good works, their iconic standing or their status within organizations.

Within the church there is very little appreciation toward those who point out the danger these men and women pose with their non biblical practices, teachings and anti biblical ecumenical associations. The direction, attitudes, statements and practices by these individuals should cause true, discerning believers to be concern about what is going on but for some reason there is a haze of spiritual dullness that is keeping some within the body of Christ from seeing the true nature of what these folk are doing to the church. These tares have been part of the catalyst for Biblical compromise and degeneracy which is sweeping the church worldwide in a tsunami of apostasy and heretical teaching.

The activities of these individuals should cause us to search the scriptures to see what God has said on the issue of unity vs. biblical purity and how we are to view such behavior in light of God's prophetic agenda and what is the Biblical response.

The seeds planted by these men will no doubt produce a harvest, the question is will it be a harvest of wheat or of tares? This harvest will perpetuate what foundation these men have laid even passed their death. "Biblical evangelism has been betrayed. A Trojan Horse of great deception has penetrated the fortress of truth. It is filled with "false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works" (2 Corinthians 11:13-15)."[2]

One will do well to heed the words of one of the early church fathers by the name of Irenaeus who said, "Error, indeed, is never set forth in its naked deformity, lest, being thus exposed, it should at once be detected. But it is craftily decked out in an attractive dress, so as, by its outward form, to make it appear to the inexperienced (ridiculous as the expression may seem) more true than the truth itself."

One has to ask themselves the questions:
Why are we seeing this spread of duplicity among church leaders?
Are these men who are bringing error into the church ministers of righteousness or of the angel of light? (2 Cor 11:13-15)

Why is there an openness in the rebellion against God in the church?

Is what we are seeing the activity of tares within the church? (Matt 13:25-28) and is this activity reflective of God's prophetic agenda concerning the end of the church age.

You decide.
